About Maria Diz, LHMC

Maria M. Diz, LHMC, has a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She is the Assistant Director of Research and Clinical Training/Lead Therapist for the Ketamine Health Centers, which serves men and women in Coral Gables, West Palm Beach, Weston, and Altamonte Springs, Florida. 

She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of North Alabama. Maria has years of experience in the areas of neuroscience and human anatomy and physiology. She has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals on issues ranging from hormone effects on cognition to cognitive deterioration in normal adults and adults suffering from multiple types of dementias.

During her first training internship, Maria specialized in child and adolescent psychology and has most recently trained in neurofeedback and emotional regulation. She leads all the licensed mental health specialist and has been promoted through her hard work and dedication.

Maria combines her experiences and interests in science with her career as a professional artist and expressive arts facilitator. 

She is passionate about bringing together a balance of mind, body, and spirit to her work in mental health and wellness. Maria’s therapeutic philosophy expressed through her diverse approaches is to help the client find meaning and personal acceptance in their lives and the consequent hope and joy that can follow.
