Dennis Diaz, CRNA, ARNP, Managing Partner
Dennis Diaz is certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists, and licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Anesthetist in Florida. Dennis has extensive expertise providing anesthesia services in the greater Miami area, both in hospitals and in private practice.
Dennis’ scope of practice encompasses all areas of anesthesia, including level 1 Trauma, Burn, Obstetrics, and Pediatric surgeries. Furthermore, he has significant clinical practice in managing both acute and chronic pain patients in a post surgical setting with adjuvant techniques such as peripheral nerve blocks. Dennis is highly experienced in using ketamine as an anesthetic agent, implementing infusion therapy to trauma, burns, and severely depressed patients yielding excellent results.
Raul Cruz, MD, Anesthesiologist
Dr. Cruz is a Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and has been a licensed, practicing anesthesiologist for 10 years. Dr. Cruz has had extensive experience in both the academic and private practice settings including teaching, operating room and practice management, and direct patient care.
Dr. Cruz has been involved in the full spectrum of anesthesia practice ranging from procedural medicine and all the surgical sub-specialties, including level 1 Trauma and Burn surgery; as well as anesthetic management in Obstetrics and Psychiatry. During his 10 years in practice, Dr. Cruz has developed an expert knowledge in the use of and delivery of IV ketamine to treat burn patients, as well as those with acute and postoperative pain. He has had success treating patients with comorbid depression, anxiety, and/or PTSD using ketamine infusions in the hospital setting, while also using it as an anesthetic, an analgesic, and as a sedative.
Mike Tomas - Chief Business Officer
Mike Tomas, President & CEO of U.S. Stem Cell Inc, is considered by many in the industry as one of the most experienced marketers and operating executives for IT/Communications and Biotech/Life Sciences private equity and venture groups portfolio companies. The son of a serial entrepreneur, he spent nearly 20 years driving the evolution of telecommunications technology in the U.S. and Mexico in leadership roles ranging from sales, marketing, customer service, telemarketing, engineering, and operations. Upon retiring as Chief Marketing Officer of Avantel, MCI/Worldcom’s Global Ventures $1B investment with Banamex (at the time, the largest bank in Latin America), Mr. Tomás joined other former-MCI executives (including MCI CEO Jerry Taylor) and helped form an integrated customer communications software solution that was named on Red Herring magazine’s “Top Ten to Watch” list.
Upon the successful sale of that company in 2001, Mr. Tomas helped launch The ASTRI Group, an early-stage private equity investment company providing capital, business development and strategic marketing support to emerging private companies. Mr. Tomas sits on the board of U.S. Stem Cell Inc. (adult stem cell development and applications) and has sat on the boards of The IDEA Center (Miami Dade College’s entrepreneurial institute), Career Source Florida (appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to his statewide workforce investment board) and is the past chairman of Florida International University’s Global Entrepreneurship Center. Mr. Tomas is an inductee into the Miami-Dade College and WACE Halls of Fame for business, an FIU Torch Award winner–and winner of top communications, medical innovations, education and entrepreneurial awards. An avid athlete, Mr. Tomas was also a Miami-Dade County Sports Commissioner.
Juan Oms, MD, Psychiatrist
Dr. Juan Oms is our Medical Director of Psychiatry here at Ketamine Health Centers. Dr Oms received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, and completed his training in Psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital in affiliation with University of Miami and the VA Hospital. Dr. Oms is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Currently he is the Associate Medical Director BH at Beacon Health Options and is a driving force at the forefront of healthcare improvement and change for the psychiatric community at large training future psychiatrist as the previous Residency Program Director of Psychiatry at Larkin Community Hospital.
Lastly Dr. Oms is an Assistant Professor Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in affiliation with Citrus Community Health Network FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, where he continues to educate and mentor residents of Psychiatry while rotating in outpatient detox clinic and MAT program at Citrus Health Network.
Dr. Oms is passionate in treating patients from a wellness perspective and has emphasized his practice and treatment in an integrative and functional model.
Dr Jennifer Sandadi, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Jennifer Sandadi earned two degrees at the University of Maryland, College Park, while also competing as a scholarship athlete on the University of Maryland Softball team. After graduating with high honors, she attended the University of Miami School of Medicine, and then completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals. She then underwent fellowship training in cardiothoracic and surgical critical care medicine at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital. She is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesia.
Dr. Sandadi served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Cornell University, New York Presbyterian Hospital. As an accomplished educator, she was honored with the department’s Teacher of the Year Award. She is the author of numerous peer reviewed publications including research papers and book chapters. She and her husband, have two beautiful children. She is currently an anesthesiologist in Fort Myers, Florida and serves as the medical director for an outpatient surgery center. She has a vast knowledge in acute and chronic pain management, and a passion for continuing to help our growing population here in Southwest Florida.
Marcus Kelley, CRNA, APRN
Marcus Kelley was born and raised in SWFL and attended CRNA school at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists, and licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Florida. Marcus has multiple years of experience providing anesthesia to patients in Fort Myers, both in hospitals and surgery centers. He has a vast knowledge of multimodal pain management using Ketamine to decrease opioid requirements for his patients.
Dale Alice Block, LMFT
Ms. Block has established, clinically supervised and managed inpatient and outpatient counseling and addiction programs for adults and adolescents in nonprofit and for-profit agencies. In her private practice, her specialty was working with intellectually and developmentally challenged young adults and their families. She was a member of the adjunct faculty at Roger Williams University and the University of RI. She has mentored and taught many counseling interns and supervised them as they worked toward licensure. She has excellent assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Her greatest professional satisfaction comes from building genuine, trusting, caring relationships with others. She loves to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges.
Linda Sullivan-Hebert, Patient Care Coordinator
Linda’s most recent experience involved managing a multipurpose holistic clinic. Prior to that, she functioned as a Transaction Coordinator for a large real estate firm where she partnered with her husband. Linda also spent a decade as an elementary school teacher while raising her two sons in Southwest Florida. Her ongoing experience draws upon two of her immediate family members benefitting from treatments and therapy at Ketamine Health Centers.
Alexandra Therrien, LMHC
Alexandra Therrien is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Sexology with a specialization in Transgender Care from the International Institute of Clinical Sexology. She earned her Master’s of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Carlos Albizu University and Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Psychology from Nova South Eastern University. Additionally, she is bilingual- proficient in English and Spanish.
She started her career by volunteering at homeless shelters, then transitioned to work on forensic psychology helping ex-convicts to re-enter the community. Ms. Therrien held groups and individual therapy for domestic abuse, alcohol abuse and parenting. She also had the opportunity to work with cancer patients and their families by supporting them and guiding them through that painful path of illness and recovery from cancer. Her journey took her to helping children and families with all kinds of issues including sex abuse, schizophrenia, cerebral palsy patients, amongst others. Due to her passion to help the most in need or those that are forgotten in our community, she decided to advocate for inmates, specifically the mentally ill, so she began to work with the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit population in a Florida prison.
Since the beginning, the focus of her clinical work has been to support individuals, couples, and families on multifaceted issues including mental health, abuse/violence, stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement/grief, death/dying, and relationship issues. As a result of her journey as an advocate for change, it is her professional mission and calling to help couples, including LGBTQ community, to create positive and healthy relationships.
